BuildZERO Testevent
The BuildZero Test Event is a two-day, hands-on testing programme at the heart of Arnhem Electricity Week, dedicated to making emission-free construction equipment, scalable and future-proof.
The Dutch government promotes clean, emission-free construction equipment to meet Climate Agreement, Clean Air Agreement, and Nitrogen Reduction Plan goals, with electric mobile machinery playing a key role despite challenges like charging reliability, grid congestion, and underdeveloped infrastructure.
Project Overview
Connectr initiated this project to ease the transition, with Province of Gelderland as commissioner and funder, ElaadNL as lead executor, and partners HAN University of Applied Sciences and Fransen Technology Services. It comprises four integrated work packages addressing emission-free construction in building and infrastructure sectors during Arnhem Electricity Week.
Why It Matters
This initiative delivers practical solutions for electrification hurdles, fostering scalable zero-emission tools through collaboration and real-world testing
