Ruby Schaap
Researcher and social designer Ruby Schaap will share her thoughts on how to represent the energy system in the public space as a truly public utility. She will share inspiring examples from when electricity first entered our cities over a century ago and will show some radical positive ideas for the near future.
Ruby Schaap is part of Bright, a research and development laboratory for our surroundings. They are experts in exploring the impact of major transitions on spatial planning and society and translating complex issues into impactful strategies, spatial interventions and new narratives. They support local, regional, and national governments, (public-)private organisations, knowledge institutes, cultural institutions and local communities when facing the complexity of today’s spatial development. Bright is often the initiator of these collaborations.
