Mark Verhagen

Mark Verhagen is co-founder and CEO of RIFT (Renewable Iron Fuel Technology), a clean-tech company developing circular, carbon-free fuel solutions based on iron powder for industrial heat applications. His work focuses on scaling breakthrough technologies that can decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry. In addition to his role at RIFT, Mark is active in the broader innovation ecosystem as founder of Greenberg and initiator of the BRYCK Startup Alliance, where he supports collaboration between startups and corporates. With a background in entrepreneurship and venture building, he is dedicated to accelerating the energy transition by turning promising innovations into scalable, real-world solutions.
