Marieke Rietbergen

Marieke is an advisor on creative ecosystems, collective future imagination in transitions, and co-design; all areas in which she channels her strong belief in the power of design. She is also a lecturer and coach at the Master Crossover Creativity at HKU.

Over the past 15 years, she has applied design power to a wide range of topics related to the energy transition. From future explorations to understanding what motivates people to make their homes more sustainable, and even rethinking questions such as: what would a solar park look like that people would actually want in their backyard?Across all her work, there is a clear common thread: design as a driver of societal innovation
