Han Slootweg

J. G. (Han) Slootweg  obtained the M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in electrical power engineering and the Ph.D. degree from Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. He also helds a degree in Business Administration. He is currently a member of the executive board and the COO of Enexis, Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, one of the largest Distribution Network Operators of the Netherlands where he has been working since 2003. He is responsible for all operational activities for Enexis; working on the grid and its components and customer relations (>5.000 fte). He also has held the positions of Director of Asset Management and Manager of the Innovation Department at Enexis. From 2009 tot 2024 he held a professorship in Smart Grids with the Electrical Energy Systems Group, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands. He supervised more than 20 PhD Projets and more than 50 Master Projects and has (co-)authored over 200 papers, covering a broad range of aspects of the electricity supply.
