Paul Vonk

Paul Vonk is the Hydrogen & CCS Business Lead at Tata Steel Netherlands, where he plays a pivotal role in the company’s ambition to achieve CO₂ neutrality by 2045. He is responsible for sourcing the natural gas carbon reduction solutions such as (low-carbon) hydrogen, CCS and biomethane.

Paul’s career began as an engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry in Northern Africa. He later transitioned to investment banking in London, managing M&A, complex debt, and equity transactions for energy industry clients at firms like Nomura and ABN AMRO. Before joining Tata Steel Netherlands, he led a listed energy exploration company.

He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Mining and Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
