The energy transition demands perseverance, strategy, and collaboration—just like elite sports. During Arnhem Electricity Week, we invite you to a unique interactive session where the worlds of energy and top-level sports come together.
On this evening, we’ll be joined by Maartje Brans, Director of Innovation at Alliander since April 2023. With a background in real estate maintenance and sustainability, Maartje brings a wealth of experience in leading transformations within the energy sector. Her vision on innovation and leadership offers valuable insights for anyone involved in the energy transition.
We also welcome Kiran Badloe, Olympic windsurfing champion and talent coach at Team EIFFEL. Kiran’s journey to gold in Tokyo and his transition to the new discipline of windfoiling illustrate how innovation and adaptability are key—both in sports and in the energy transition.
In the style of College Tour, we encourage interaction with the audience, drawing connections between the mindset of elite athletes and the challenges of the energy transition. How do we navigate changing conditions? What strategies lead to success? And what can we learn from each other?
