Christian Baer

Christian Baer has over 17 years of professional experience in the energy sector. Since 2015, he has served as the Secretary General of Europex, the Association of European Energy Exchanges. In this capacity, he represents 36 member companies on EU energy, climate, and financial services policy matters, working closely with the EU institutions and other key stakeholders. He is also an active member of various stakeholder committees and advisory boards. Before joining Europex, Christian worked at the European Energy Exchange (EEX) from 2011-2015 and at Areva from 2009-2010. He holds a master’s degree in international security from the Paris Institute of Political Science (Sciences Po).
