Camiel Oremus is Global Service Area Lead for Power Grids at DNV, where he focuses on innovation, digitalization, and the future development of power system operations and infrastructure. With more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector, he works across grid planning, operations, asset management, system integration, and digital support systems. His work centers on enabling the energy transition through smarter grid utilization, advanced operational strategies, and emerging technologies such as flexibility solutions and next-generation grid operations. Camiel is particularly interested in how utilities can balance reliability, resilience, and innovation while adapting to increasing electrification, renewable integration, and growing system complexity. He also actively engages with startups and innovation ecosystems to explore new approaches to congestion management, operational flexibility, and intelligent grid coordination.
