Aliene van der Veen

Aliene van der Veen is Energy System Digitalisation Expert at TNO. She is the lead scientist Energy in the Digital Systems program at the unit ICT, Strategy and Policy. She is affiliated to the Electricity Energy Systems institute of Eindhoven University of Technology as PhD Candidate. In her academic research, she studies the interaction between active consumer empowerment regulation and the digitalisation of the electricity system.

Before joining TNO in 2018, Aliene worked on a broad range of energy system innovations in the energy sector at DNV GL and CWI. She holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Groningen.
