Urban Energy Systems Community Event
A full day of insights, innovation and real-world lessons on grid-aware new-build and local energy systems.
On 20 May, Connectr and TKI Urban Energy host the Urban Energy Systems Community Event during Arnhem Electricity Week. This one-day event brings together frontrunners from the construction and energy sectors, the installation industry and public authorities to explore how grid-aware new-build and local energy systems are taking shape in practice.
The programme is designed to be flexible: participants can join for the morning, the afternoon, or the full day.
Morning programme – Grid-aware new-build: where do we stand today?
The morning focuses on the latest insights into grid-aware construction, lessons from frontrunners in the FGU region and perspectives from innovators. We zoom in on the societal value of grid-aware building: how do we share the costs, how do we invest today, and how do we deal with benefits that only become visible later?
Afternoon programme – Grid-aware construction in practice
In the afternoon, we dive into real-world practice. How does it actually work? With a focus on the changing roles of municipalities and construction companies, and concrete tools for organising local energy systems, this part of the programme turns strategy into action.
As part of Arnhem Electricity Week, the Urban Energy Systems Community Event connects policy, practice and innovation, and brings the people shaping tomorrow’s energy systems together in one place.
